The Pan-Pacific Ho’olaule’a block party on Waikiki’s famous main street, Kalakaua Avenue, featured 6 stages filled with cultural performances including traditional hula, Japanese dance and taiko drummers. There were also food booths, arts and crafts and exhibits. The block party took place on June 6, 2008 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm as part of the 3-day 29th Annual Pan-Pacific Festival — Matsuri In Hawaii.
Today, I’ve upgraded to WordPress 2.5.1 from 2.2.2 sucessfully via the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plugin. Everything went well, except it didn’t reactivate my plugins….oh well, I just activated it manually.
So far, there’s no problem as I can see.
The Annual LGBTQ Pride Parade just wrapped up a few moments ago. The parade started around 9am and began at Magic Island, Ala Moana Beach park, through Waikiki on Kalakaua Avenue and concluded at Kapiolani Park.
Here’s photo highlights from last night’s show with Society of Seven LV (Las Vegas) and “American Idol” finalist Jasmine Trias. This was Jasmine’s debut performance with the group in front of a packed crowd. The show runs nightly (except Mondays) thru July 31. Go check it out, it’s a great and fun show for the whole family.

The Society of Seven LV (SOS LV) celebrates Summer 2008 with a special six-week engagement showcasing guest artist Jasmine Trias, Hawaii's own "American Idol" finalist. Jasmine will be performing June 20 through July 31 with SOS LV at the Outrigger Main Showroom in the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach (2335 Kalakaua Avenue, across from the International Market Place).
Trias earned rave reviews last year when she performed with the original Society of Seven, becoming the first "American Idol" star to have appeared in a production show on the Las Vegas strip.
