POD (Photos Of the Day)

Thousands poured into the streets of Waikiki for the 5th Annual Waikiki Spam Jam blockparty. The festivities started at 4pm and last til 10 at night and parts of Kalakaua Avenue was blocked off for this annual event.

Locals and people from around the world enjoyed many SPAM® dishes from various restuarants like Spam Musubi, Spam Katsu, Spam Long Rice, Spam Burger Steak, Spam Linguine Orientale, BBQ Spam Sliders, MAC Saimin with crispy Spam and more. And did I mention Spam? Festival goers also enjoyed non-stop local entertainment, local crafts and purchase SPAM®-themed merchandise. This year, a new Mr. and Ms. Spam was also crowned. It’s an annual event you can’t miss every year.

Did you know Hawaii consumes more SPAM® than anyone in the world?

UPCOMING WAIKIKI SPAM JAM DATE

Held on one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in the world, SPAM JAM Waikiki shows the world how much Hawaii loves SPAM. It draws thousands of SPAM Fans every year with SPAM dishes from the top restaurants in Hawaii and plenty of free entertainment. Best of all, proceeds go to help the Hawaiian Food Bank.

The next WAIKIKI SPAM JAM is on April 28th, 2007.

GET SPAMMED IN WAIKIKI

It’s a block party at the 5th Annual Waikiki Spam Jam - Saturday, April 28th along Kalakaua Avenue to celebrate Hawaii’s love for Spam. There will be non-stop entertainment, Hawaiian crafts, food booths and a whole lot of Spam-ming.
And don’t forget the Spam Musubi!
