The 350-foot Hawaii Superferry, Alakai (”ocean path”), arrived at its home port of Honolulu Harbor yesterday afternoon, after a long 6,700-mile journey from Mobile, Alabama where it was built. The ferry service will provide alternative transportation for passengers and vehicles to travel interisland starting in September or sooner.
