Obama Girls Got a Crush… on Hawaii!
Move over Obama Girl, the Obama Girls just outnumbered you!
The Obama Girls, a 15-member hula troupe from Obama City in Japan, participated in this year’s 29th Annual Pan-Pacific Festival – Matsuri In Hawaii over the weekend. The festival was a 3-day event that started on Friday with a block party and ended with a parade on Sunday late afternoon.
“Obama,” which mean “small shore” in Japanese, is a small fishing town on the western coast of Japan (Wakasa Area of Fukui Prefecture) with a population of over 33,000.

Highlights of other events from this year’s Pan-Pacific Festival will be posted later. Mahalo!
