Shingon Shu Hawaii Bon Dance Highlights

Let’s Go Bon Odori!
Another festive night at the annual Shingon Shu Hawaii Bon Dance yesterday. Scores of people jam-packed the temple ground for a night of great local foods, children’s games (including the popular Kingyo Sukui or catch the goldfish game) and dancing all night long. The bon dance ran from 6:30 pm until 11 pm.
People young and old, regardless of their religious denomination, gathered for a night of cultural fun and dancing. Even nuns were doing the bon dance.
