POD: Hawaii Superferry Sails To Maui

On a recent afternoon, the Hawaii Superferry or the “Alakai”, sailed past Ala Moana Beach bound for Kahului, Maui. This 350-foot long vessel can accomodate 836 passengers and 230 vehicles, and travels at a high speed of 35 knots (40.3 mph). It will take about three hours to get to Maui.
With airline tickets prices and added surcharges soaring, the Hawaii Superferry is the most affordable and relaxing way to travel.
