All-Local Shopping Extravaganza – 2008 Made In Hawaii Festival

Buy Local. It’s Made With Aloha.
It’s a wrap, the 14th Annual Made in Hawaii Festival was a great success, which ended yesterday at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center’s Exhibition Hall and Arena. An estimated 37,000 people attended the festival over the three-day period (August 15-17) for anything and everything, made in Hawaii. The event was produced by the Hawai’i Food Industry Association and sponsored by First Hawaiian Bank.
A Shopping Paradise Under One Roof.
This year’s theme,“Buy Hawaii, For Hawaii,” featured over 420 exhibitors across the state (Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Molokai and the Big Island) showing off their newest and unique products locally produced, crafted and grown in Hawaii. It was a one-stop buyer’s market for ono food, gift items, arts, crafts, clothings, jewelries, produce and more. Cooking demonstrations from top chefs, live local entertainment and free food-samplings made the festival an enjoyable one.
