Aloha Festivals 2008 On Oahu This Week
A Celebration Of Aloha And The Hula
The 62nd Annual Aloha Festivals kicks off this week on the island of Oahu. This year’s theme is HULA - “The Art of Hawaiian Dance”. The Royal Court Investiture will be at the Hawaiian Hilton Village tomorrow at 9:30 AM. Later in the day, at 4:30 PM, the Opening Ceremony takes place at Iolani Palace, marking the official start of the Aloha Festivals 2008 on Oahu.
On Friday, Waikiki will transform into the largest block party along Kalakaua Avenue with the Aloha Festivals Waikiki Ho’olaule’a, starting at 7 in the evening. And on Saturday morning, it’s the Aloha Festivals Floral Parade along Kalakaua Avenue from Ala Moana Beach Park to Kapiolani Park.
