62nd Annual Aloha Festivals Floral Parade Highlights In Waikiki

A Parade Fit For A King
After partying all night at the Waikiki Ho’olaule’a (Hawaii’s largest block party in Waikiki) on Friday night, thousands woke up early the next morning and lined Ala Moana Blvd. and Kalakaua Avenue to enjoy the 62nd Annual Aloha Festivals Floral Parade. The parade started at 9 a.m. starting at Ala Moana Beach Park and ending at Kapiolani Park.

A Whole Lot Of Hula Going On
This year’s theme was “HULA – The Art of Hawaiian Dance”, and the parade featured lots of Hula dancers and halau on floats adorned with thousands of colorful and fragrant Hawaiian flowers. There were also beautiful lei-draped pa’u horse riders and princesses representing each of the Hawaiian islands, marching bands, civic clubs, pageant queens and other community organizations.

The Clean Team
Of course, we can’t forget our wonderful pooper scoopers, who kept the streets of Waikiki clean from the stinky mess that’s left behind.

Mahalo Nui Loa
Special thanks to all the wonderful sponsors and organizations for their generous kokua and donations that saved this year’s parade from being cancelled. Mahalo and Aloha.
Don’t forget to mark your calendar for next year’s parade and all the other festivities of the Aloha Festivals.
