The Big Apple In Waikiki
Apple is set to open their fifth flagship store in the Five-O State (Hawaii), at the newly renovated Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki within the next couple of months or so, no opening date has been set. Currently, there are two other Apple stores in Hawaii, one at Ala Moana Center and the other at Kahala Mall, but the Waikiki store will be the largest retail store in Hawaii. Four other flagship Apple Stores in the United State are in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The first photo above, was taken on the evening of September 13th, the second photo, the next afternoon. The new Apple Store is located on the opposite end of the Royal Hawaiian Center (Building C), near The Cheesecake Factory.

State’s 3rd Apple store to open in Waikiki Saturday

Waikiki will get its own Apple Store at the Royal Hawaiian Center on Saturday with a 10 a.m. public grand opening.
UPDATE – APPLE STORE UNBOXED AND UNFINISHED
September 26, 2008 – With the construction walls removed, and less than 12 hours away till the grand opening of the new Apple Store at the Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki, construction worker are working feverishly to complete the exterior of the store and surrounding areas.
These photos were taken around 10:08 in the evening, will they finish in time for the opening? At least the interior is all completed.
This will be the third Apple Store location on Oahu, the other two are located at Ala Moana Center and Kahala Mall.
