Taste Of The Arts 2008 Highlights – The Arts District

Pau Hana Block Party
Tonight, a large crowd gathered after work for the 2nd Annual Taste Of The Arts in Downtown Honolulu’s The Arts District. Nu’uanu Avenue (between Beretania St. & King St.) was blocked off for tonight’s street festival block party.
Taste of the Arts showcases the cultural renaissance of The Arts District, celebrates the musicians that have been an integral part of that rebirth downtown, and highlights the variety of excellent international cuisine in The Arts District.

Food, Drink, Music…It’s A Party Tonight
The street festival featured International cuisines from various restaurants (Ba-le, Cafe Joy, Brasserie du Vin, Epic, Indigo, Kevin’s Two Boots, Le Crepe Cafe, Little Village, Soul de Cuba, Teas at 1024 and Healthy-bound Chinatown), premium wine tasting bar, Mojito and premium beer bar, chef demonstrations, craft market, aerial acrobatics by Samadhi Hawaii and live music on three stages (John Cruz, The Spacifics, Go Jimmy Go, Satomi Yarimizo Quartet, Friends of Adam and more). The block party ended around 10.
