13th Annual Discover Moiliili Festival Highlights At Old Stadium Park

Experience Moiliili - See. Taste. Enjoy.
This past weekend (Saturday, October 4th), hundreds experienced the true hospitality of the Moiliili community with their 13th Annual Discover Moiliili Festival at the Old Stadium Park (corner of South King and Isenberg Streets). Festival-goers enjoyed free cultural entertainment, onolicious foods, children activities (face painting, funky hairstyling and games), arts and crafts and a historical Moiliili photo exhibition.
There were various multi-cultural performances including BellyDance 808 / Hawaii Raks, Yamada Dance Group (Masudai Odori Kai), Phoenix Dance Chamber and the Royal Hawaiian Band.
The popular Country Store sold an assortment of foods like senbei, mochi, fresh vegetables and fruits, artisan breads, maki sushi and other local delectables from the Moiliili community.

A Ride To The Moiliili Festival
Visitors and locals in Waikiki who wanted to discover Moiliili for themselves, took advantage of the FREE trolley ride to and from the festival.
The all-day festival revitalized Moiliili by attracting residents and visitors, help support the area’s economy, and preserve the legacy of Moiliili and its rich heritage and unique blend of cultures. The festival ran from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and was organized by the Moiliili Community Center and supported by the Hawaii Tourism Authority. If you missed out on this great festival, there’s always next year.
