60th Narcissus Festival’s Splendor of China Highlights at Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall

Enjoying The Splendor
Directly across the street from Thomas Square, where the 34th Annual Intertribal Powwow was happening, another festival was going on, this time it was the 60th Narcissus Festival’s Splendor of China at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Tens of thousands enjoyed the Chinese culture and festivities over the weekend of October 4th and 5th. With over 150 booths offering a variety product and services, exotic foods, entertainment and cultural exhibits, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The Changing Face Of China
Highlights of the Splendor of China included the world-famous Face Changing Magician from the China National Performing Arts Group, Sichuan Opera, Phoenix Dance Chamber, Magic Show and Guzheng Musical, Lion Pole Dance, Chinese Dog Show and cooking demonstration by Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook. Oh yeah, can’t forget about the Cow Guts Stew Eating Contest.
The Splendor of China was in its sixth year and was organized by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and Panda Express.
