Hawaii State Quarter Makes Its Debut In Downtown Honolulu

Saving The Best For Last
After years of waiting, the Hawaii State Quarter finally made its debut in Downtown Honolulu with a celebration at Tamarind Park, Bishop Square at noon.

The Long Wait Is Finally Over
Huge crowds and long lines snaked around Tamarind Park, Bishop Square today to get their hands on the Hawaii State quarter. Coin collectors bought $10 rolls of the quarters, which began distributing around 12:30pm. The quarter was also available at all banks at 2pm.
This marks the last Quarter release and the end of the U.S. Mint’s 50 State Quarter program.
