Hawaii State Seal Missing At The State Capitol

Something’s Missing?
Something was missing at the State Capitol today, and you didn’t have to look up for the huge 15-feet diameter, 7,500 pound replica of the Hawaii State Seal, hanging high above the entrances (mauka and makai) of the capitol.

State Seal Grounded
Where’d did it go? Don’t worry, it wasn’t stolen. It was taken down by crews and erected by scaffoldings near the grounds of the State Capitol in preparation to be cleaned and restored by a mainland firm, according to one of the workers I talked to.
