Happy Year Of The Dragon!

迎春接福 (Yíngchúnjiēfú) - "Greet the New Year and encounter happiness"

As part of Month In Chinatown 2012, the Chinatown Merchants Association's Lunar New Year Festival took place last night (January 14, 2012) in Chinatown. Maunakea St., Pauahi St. and Smith St. were closed to traffic for this street fair.

The Chinese year 4710 "Year Of The Dragon" begins on Jan. 23, 2012. Kung Hei Fat Choy!

The Night In Chinatown Parade took place yesterday (January 14, 2012) down along Hotel Street from the State Capitol to River Street in Chinatown. It was presented by the Chinatown Merchants Association.
